Fire Alarm

Edwards manufactures the fire alarm, and the main panel is in IT room, #126. There is a NAC panel, a pull station, and the cellular dialer for the fire alarm also located in Room 126. Additional NAC panels are located in rooms 215A and 308. There is an annunciator behind the front desk and another in the vestibule for Door A.

Pull stations are located near all first-floor exit doors, including the loading dock and the trash room. There is also a pull station in the IT Room (126) as well as one near the stove in the break area. On the second and third floors, the pull stations are located near each stairwell door. Horn strobe devices are located throughout the building.

The fire alarm was installed and is monitored by Omni Technologies. There is also an app for monitoring that will allow for the system to be placed on test, etc. The app is called URSecure. Users need to get set up through Omni. The following accounts are monitored:

Fire alarms require an annual inspection. Our current inspector, Omni Technologies, installed and monitors the fire alarm. The fire alarm inspection will also need to include the current elevator service company-Otis.

The Omni Tech service department should schedule the inspection annually. If it has not been scheduled by mid- to late November, a call should be made to schedule the inspection before the end of the calendar year.
