Gas Shutoffs
There are a total of seven (7) gas shutoff valves in or on the WSYO building. Additionally, there is a shutoff at the gas meter on the Curtis Court side of the building. This shutoff should be a last resort.
Four (4) of the shutoffs are inside the building, three (3) are on the roof. Valves are labeled as follows:
-G1, AHU #1 on roof, access via Room 322
-G2, AHU #2 on roof, access via Room 322
-G3, AHU #3 on roof, access via Room 322
-G4, rear of Boiler #1, in Room 325 access via Room 322
-G5, rear of Boiler #2, in Room 325, access via Room 322
-G6, above Water Heater #1, in Room 128, access via Hallway 124
-G7, above Water Heater #2, in Room 128, access via Hallway 124
Gas shutoff valves typically have a yellow handle. When the handle is turned so it is aligned with the pipe, it is open and flowing. When it is perpendicular to the pipe, the flow is shut off.
