The WYSO phone system is administered through Clarity Technologies. WYSO signed a 5-year agreement with Clarity in August 2024. This agreement provided WYSO with free equipment and installation, with a monthly service agreement of $450/month. Each user/extension can access a web portal to administer their account. This includes but is not limited to forwarding options (to cell phone, etc.), vacation responses, and other settings. Portal access for new users is set up through Clarity.

Greeting  “Thank you for calling the WYSO Center for Music. This is [name]. How can I help you today?”

Transfer a call

  1. During an active call, press the “Xfer” soft key on your phone’s display screen. This will place the caller on hold and give you a dial tone.
  2. Enter the number or extension of the person or department you want to transfer the call to. If you’re doing an attended transfer, wait for the person or department to answer the call.
  3. To complete the transfer, press the “Xfer” soft key again. If you’re doing an attended transfer, you can also press the “Cancel” soft key to return to the original call.

Blind Transfer:

  1. Press the “Xfer” soft key on your phone’s display screen during an active call.
  2. Enter the number or extension of the person or department you want to transfer the call to.
  3. Press the “Xfer” soft key again to complete the transfer.

Attended Transfer:

  1. Press the “Xfer” soft key on your phone’s display screen during an active call.
  2. Enter the number or extension of the person or department you want to transfer the call to.
  3. Wait for the person or department to answer the call.
  4. Speak to the person or department to let them know you’re transferring the call.
  5. Press the “Xfer” soft key again to complete the transfer. Alternatively, press the “Cancel” soft key to return to the original call.
